Utilizing Minnesota’s SolarAPP+ Permitting Incentive

The Minnesota legislature established the SolarAPP+ Solar Permitting Software Incentive (Minn. Stat. § 216C.48) with the purpose of helping streamline the residential solar permitting process. Though SolarAPP+ is free to implement and use, this additional funding is available to provide financial incentives and technical support for local governments adopting SolarAPP+.

The incentive will remain available until June 30, 2028, or until funds are fully expended. Applications are first-come, first-serve and will be reviewed on a monthly basis. Learn more about how you can participate here.
