DORA has selected SolarAPP+ to deliver a streamlined electrical plan review experience for solar installers of residential solar and energy storage systems across Colorado.Contractors can now submit their electrical permits through SolarAPP+’s online portal instead of submitting the multiple documents previously required by DORA, making it easier than ever to verify your projects and quickly issue your permit.

Using SolarAPP+ is as easy as registering, then submitting project information into the online tool. As you enter information you receive instant feedback about your projects, including compliance with the 2023 NEC. SolarAPP+ also flags potential inspection failure points — like UL compatibility — so you can correct possible issues in advance. Once approved, your documents will instantly be sent to both you and DORA to move forward with issuing your buildable permit.
